Course Objectives: to offer an experiential three hour training around horses so that the professional better understands how memories are triggered with equine therapy and either anxieties or confidence is that remind the professional of their own past traumas.

Horses provide many opportunities for metaphorical learning as well as learning respect trust and relationships with the horses and and relationships with people.

Horses naturally respond to the emotional state that an individual brings into the sessions and bring a level of comfort to the participant.

Horses, because of their stature, often trigger fears, feelings of being unsafe and past traumas that are in bedded in the memories of the person. This activation of past trauma memories brings those traumas to a level during the therapy so that they can be further labeled, resolved, understood and healed.
