Thank you, Dr. Jones, for the help you have given me. As a coach, mentor, and marriage counselor, you have guided me through some very large twists and turns over the last several years. Your tutelage helped me through some very difficult changes in my life: divorce, single parenting of adopted children with a trauma background, career counseling, Christian faith mentorship, and fatherly wisdom.

I lost my dad in 2018, and my biggest worry was not having a man I could seek counsel from who would give me sage advice as my dad did. I very much appreciate the gap you filled with the wise, biblically based counsel you have shared with me. I have grown so much over our time together. While we have a client-counselor relationship, you are the most significant senior male mentor I have in my life.

You helped me navigate a career change I never thought I’d enjoy, and now I recognize it was the best decision I have ever made. God has blessed me through this change. Further, you’ve helped me learn to enjoy life even when my practical nature wants to take over.

Honestly, I really don’t know where I’d be without your encouragement. You taught me how to praise and be grateful in all areas of my life. No matter the circumstances, instead of turning to the negative, I am now able to turn to the positive. And that is life-changing.
